By using CosmicByMe (the "Service"), you agree to the following terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. What the Service is

CosmicByMe generates a personalized image ("card") combining a NASA Astronomy Picture of the Day, a rendered star map, and a Saju/Five-Element reading, based on a birth date and other details you enter. The card is generated and rendered in your browser and downloaded to your device.

2. Entertainment purposes

The Five-Element (Saju) reading, constellation descriptions, and any accompanying text are provided for entertainment and reflective purposes only. They are not intended as, and should not be relied on as, professional, medical, financial, psychological, or any other kind of advice.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to generate content that is unlawful, defamatory, or infringes on the rights of others;
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, or abuse the Service (including automated bulk requests beyond normal personal use);
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits or security measures;
• Use the Service in any way that violates NASA's or any other third-party provider's applicable terms.

4. Generated content and ownership

The NASA imagery used in cards is provided under NASA's open media usage guidelines, which generally allow non-commercial use with attribution; NASA does not endorse this site. You are responsible for how you use, share, or publish any card you generate. You retain ownership of the birth details and signature text you enter, and we make no claim to it.

5. No account, no warranty

The Service does not require account creation and is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.

6. Rate limits

To keep the Service usable for everyone, card generation is limited per IP address per hour. We may adjust this limit at any time without notice.

7. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party providers (NASA's APOD API, Unsplash, Google Fonts, and open-source libraries served via CDN) that are outside our control. We are not responsible for their availability, accuracy, or content.

8. Advertising

The Service may display advertisements, including those served through Google AdSense. See our Privacy Policy for details on how advertising cookies are used.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CosmicByMe and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
